JPG to PNG converter

A free JPG to PNG converter that also writes WebP, GIF, TIFF, BMP and ICO, entirely in your browser. JPG opens everywhere, but it carries no transparency and sheds a little quality every time it is re-saved; a PNG copy stops that loss where it is. Convert it in your browser, with your files staying on your machine.

Converted files don’t keep EXIF or color profile data.

Runs in your browser. Your files never leave your device.

How to convert a JPG

  1. Add your JPG or JPEG filesDrag them in or pick them from disk. Both .jpg and .jpeg are the same format and both are accepted.
  2. Keep PNG, or pick another formatPNG is preselected: it is lossless, so the copy you edit loses nothing more from here on. TIFF does the same for print; WebP gets the file substantially smaller than the original JPG.
  3. Convert and downloadFiles are re-encoded one at a time so you can watch the queue. A single file downloads directly; several come back zipped.

Questions about converting JPG

No, and no tool can. JPG discards detail permanently when it compresses; converting to PNG simply stops any further loss from that point on. It is worth doing before you start editing, so repeated saves do not degrade the image again — but it will not recover what the original compression threw away.

One file is free. Four hundred, on brand, in every size, is what we do.
